Explore our MHCPP YouTube channel for a variety of piano lessons and introductory videos at different skill levels. It’s a great way to get acquainted with the piano and to see if our program is the right fit for your child! Go through each level by using the arrows on the sides of the videos, and switch between french and english using the slider.

Level 1

If this is your very first time playing the piano, this is the level for you! We will be taking you through all the basics like sitting with proper posture, learning the name of the notes on the piano, as well as introducing concepts such as rhythm and clefs.

Level 2

At this level, students will be expected to be familiar with the white note names on the piano, and begin to progress towards reading simple melodies and playing them. New technical skills will also be developed, such as learning to play scales and triads. Some optional ear training will also be available for those who may be interested in developing their listening as well.

Level 3

In Level 3, students will begin to add variations in tempo and articulations to their playing, as well as become even more familiar with reading the musical staff.
